Vyasa (Winston Regis Valois), our kula brother who lived in Rio de Janeiro died January 13, 2010 from AL Amyloidosis. Vyasa was born on May 11, 1948 in rural Brasil to a very poor family. He came to California with $80 at the age of 23 hoping to improve his life. He worked as a clinical psychologist at Napa State Hospital and in private practice in Berkeley and in Rio de Janeiro.
Vyasa lived for 34 years in Berkeley and Palo Alto before moving to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in January 2006. He was married for 26 years to Radhakrsna (whom he met in 1981 while in Graduate School in Berkeley) and is the father of Julia (age 20), Camilla (age 16), Isabella (age 14). He met Dharmanidhi in November of 2008.
